Kakafian known under the pseudonym Ardashis is an Iraqi-born painter, born in 1940 in Mosul. In 1960 Kakafian arrives in Paris 1960 in order to study at the École des Beaux-Arts. and remains there until his death in 2000. Kakafian is a talented painter of the French, 20th century Expressionist School. He is also an engraver and an architect.
